Timber Extraction
The timber extraction is due to begin again on Tuesday 23 April. The aim is for 3 lorries to come into the village, be loaded and leave again between 6am and 8am.
This will be repeated after 9am.
Lorries will have 2 convoy vehicles to go ahead and stop any traffic, make sure there are no walkers, pedestrians, cyclist etc.
There will be no lorries queueing to come into the village, they will be met and be accompanied by the convoy vehicles as soon as they come into the village from the A69.
Lorries will travel at 10mph along the whole route through the village with the convoy vehicles in front.
There will be signage and cones along the route warning road users that this is happening, and ensuring that the lorries do not mount the pavement or grass verges.
The work is to be completed in approx 35 days.
