COVID19 funding for struggling households available

re: Adapt North East ~ Covid-19 Emergency Funding
Please find information below in relation to £100,000 funding provided by Bernicia for all of Northumberland. Adapt North East has been asked by Northumberland County Council to administer the grant in West Northumberland; there is a pot of £20,000. This funding, is available for households in Northumberland which are suffering hardship as a consequence of the Virus and the grants are designed to have direct and beneficial impact.
There are just a few limitations:
- Households referred under our part of the scheme should be living in the West of Northumberland.
- Households will be suffering hardship because of the virus and their need can include:
o Change in financial circumstances
o Breakdown in relationship
o Delays in benefits payments or those under the special Covid-19 funding schemes
o Changes in employment
o Breakdown of essential household items e.g. washing machine
o Unexpected fuel or other bills
o Any other unexpected hardship will be considered…
- Every effort should have been made to access other sources of funding such as special Covid-19 schemes or Universal Credit.
- Businesses are not eligible under this scheme.
